New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) provides the concrete resources that working artists and emerging arts organizations need to thrive.
Established in 1971 as an independent organization to serve individual artists throughout the state, the mission of New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) is to empower emerging artists and arts organizations across all disciplines at critical stages in their creative lives and professional/organizational development. In 2009, we extended our programs and services throughout the United States and the international community.
NYFA Fiscal Sponsorship Application
This is the no-fee quarterly application cycle. Deadline: Monday, August 17 at 09:00 AM ET.
Part 1: Eligibility Questionnaire
You will start with a short eligibility questionnaire to determine if fiscal sponsorship is a good fit and which track applies to you: Artist Projects (for individual artists and unincorporated groups) or Emerging Organizations (for state-incorporated nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status). If you are not eligible, you will find out here, before investing time in the full application.
Part 2: Full Application
If you are eligible, you will continue to the full application. You can save your progress at any time by scrolling to the bottom and clicking "Save Draft." Return whenever you are ready — just make sure to submit before the deadline.
After You Submit
We may contact you before the deadline response window if your application is incomplete or needs clarification. Otherwise, you will receive a response within four weeks of the August 17 deadline.

Fees
This is a no-fee application as part of our quarterly application cycle. However, if your project is accepted into NYFA Fiscal Sponsorship, there is a $150 onboarding fee, which covers your first year as a sponsored project.
